After the iPod fiasco we were late getting to the arena. So we had to wait outside during the first bull of six. We were excited to see our first bull fight. When we sat down and watched the next fight we didn’t know what to expect. It was horrible. This wasn’t a fair fight. It was plain and simply torture. After this bull was killed Salome started crying. So I googled what was exactly going on, so I could back this tradition up with some history. What I found online was horrifying. After reading what the bull endures leading up to the fight, then watching the fight unfold, I was physically sick. We got up and left. Along with 50 plus other people who honestly had no idea what was going to happen. We at least knew the bull was going to die. We met others who had no clue at all. I’m so glad I got the cheapest seats in the shade. The kids felt the money spent was not a complete wash because now they are more aware. I don’t see this being around much longer. It is just is completely wrong and senseless. If it was a fair fight, man vs bull then bring it on. What goes on is just plain bullying and torture.

  1. I’m sorry you witnessed that. It sounds awful! That’s one place I can cross of my list.

  2. This must be where the term “bullying” comes from…good lesson learned
