Two Days in London, England

Posted on

We had a wonderful 2 full days in London. The weather was beautiful and I think I fell in Love with the city. I can’t wait to go back and do all of the things we didn’t get to do on this trip. It was non stop walking and running at times. We started each day with breakfast at our hotel at 8:00am. Then hit the ground running until 11:00pm each night. It was all so much fun. We didn’t do the Rick Steve walking tours that I had planned. We spent a lot more money than I had budgeted. It was all worth it.

I think the best decision was to spend the extra money to stay near Victoria Station. This made it easy to arrive from Gatwick at night and depart in the morning. The station was a 7 minute walk from our hotel so this saved us around $20 in transportation fares. We also were in walking distance to the Theater, so it was a quick walk back at the end of the night when we were wiped out.

Everything felt so rushed. I could easily spend one whole day at each of the places we visited. London is easily a 1 week vacation destination. This sampler was perfect to wet my palate and make me look forward to returning.
